{\noindent Dear Gentlemen:}

I am writing to inquire if I might not qualify as a Retired Member. As I
recall, I inquired in 1966 when I retired from my industrial job (at age
65) and was told that I did not qualify since I continued to hold part
time jobs and to do a certain amount of consulting. I note, however, that
this limitation does not seem to be still enforced, since several
associates tell me that they pay at the retired-member rate.

Having been retired, off and on, for some 15 years, it seems that perhaps
by now I might qualify as a Retired Member. I also happen to be a Life
Fellow of the IEEE, having been a Fellow of both the AIEE and the IRE
since before the two organizations merged.

Please advise me as to my status. I am, however, enclosing a check for
\$ 50 as listed in your invoice.
